GapCards

Frequently asked questions

What is GapCards?

A free collection tracker built only for Marvel Masterpieces trading cards. Every set, every insert, every parallel and print run is already in the catalog — you just tap the cards you own.

Which sets are covered?

All twelve Marvel Masterpieces releases: 1992–1996 (SkyBox and Fleer), 2007, both 2008 series, 2016, 2018 (Upper Deck), and the two 2024 sets ('92 Platinum and Presents Nahuel Grego). Browse them all on the checklists page.

What does it cost?

Tracking is free. A marketplace for buying and selling duplicates between collectors is planned; sellers will keep 100% of their list price.

What's a "variation"?

One roster printed in one finish — for example, base roster in Pink Lasers. It's the thing you actually own. Print runs live on the variation (and per-card where the run differs by card number), so the site can tell you exactly what's stamped on your copy.

Where do the card images come from?

Library and catalog scans (COMC, Trading Card Database, hobby archives) — never a private seller's photos. A few ultra-rare cards (one-of-one redemptions, unreleased autographs) have no known scans anywhere; those show a placeholder.

Are you affiliated with Marvel or Upper Deck?

No. GapCards is an independent collector tool. "Marvel Masterpieces" and the character names are trademarks of their owners and are used only to describe the physical cards.
